The unbeatable product verifier app

Bar codes are used for several purposes across the world. We see them daily and almost everywhere. Electronic gadgets, groceries, shipping equipment, windscreens, books etc.

Apart from stores and shopping malls where store keepers and attendants use bar code readers to scan them for pricing information, you can also detect the packaging information of almost any product that has a bar code on it.

Do you need to buy a scanner?
No.

Can an Android phone get a product information?
YES.

How?
iBarcode reader on Google play.

This application can detect the country where a product was packaged. The next time you are involved an argument or controversy over the authentic packaging information of a product, use this app to get an accurate data.

It can also detect cloned bar  codes. For instance, if a product was originally packaged in US and the manufacturer decides to clone it in Taiwan by adding a different number on the bar code, the app will show the hidden number that was initially encoded by the US  company.

This app can also read QR(quick response) codes. QR  code is a decent way to encode company info like email, address, phone number and website.

How much is the app?
Free
